Biography
Since 2002, Dr. Peter Stein has offered his patients a unique blend of manual therapies and exercise, designed to help people feel better and stay better. He specializes in using a smooth, gentle style of spinal joint adjustment, without high-speed “cracking.” He specializes in the treatment of chronic back pain, disc problems in the neck and back, nerve entrapment syndromes and performing artists’ injuries.
He earned a four-year doctoral degree from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Stein holds a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences from Boston University. He conducts research on repetitive strain injuries.
Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Stein was a conservatory-trained musician. He also studied several different methods of healing through movement, in addition to his clinical grounding in modern spinal exercise science. Eventually he developed a novel system of exercises, the MOTOR Method™. Using this approach combining gentle manual therapies and targeted exercises, he helps patients use their bodies well in order to heal injuries and reduce pain.
